Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how BetterJobs, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("BetterJobs", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of CommentQuest (the "Service"), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you access or use our website and application. By using the Service you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The data controller is BetterJobs, LLC, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at stefano@commentquest.com.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile image.
  • Reddit account information — when you connect a Reddit account, we collect your Reddit username and publicly available profile details (such as account age, karma, and publicly visible activity) that we use to check eligibility and to verify that tasks were completed.
  • Task and submission data — the tasks you reserve and complete, the links and content of the comments, replies, or posts you submit, timestamps, and their verification and approval status.
  • Rewards and payout data — your accrued balance, your cash-out requests, and the contact or account details you provide to receive a payout. Payouts are processed by Whop, our payments and rewards provider (see "How we share information"); that provider processes your information under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Communications — messages you send us for support, feedback, or other requests.
  • Usage and device data — IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, actions taken, referring pages, approximate location derived from your IP address, and diagnostic and security logs.
  • Cookies — see our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service.
  • To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
  • To match you with tasks and to verify that submitted tasks are genuine, follow the instructions, and remain live.
  • To calculate your balance and process the cash-outs you request.
  • To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms and applicable rules.
  • To communicate with you about your account, tasks, and support requests.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
  • To analyze, improve, and develop the Service.

3. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service and process the payouts you request.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our product, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements and to respond to lawful requests.
  • Consent — where required, such as for non-essential cookies or optional communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers — hosting and infrastructure, database, error monitoring, customer support, and authentication (Google) providers that process data on our behalf under contract and only on our instructions.
  • Payments and rewards provider — to process a cash-out you request, we share the minimum information necessary (such as the amount and the contact or account details you provide) with Whop, our payments and rewards provider, which processes it under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Public platforms — tasks are performed as public activity on Reddit using your own Reddit account. Content you post there is public and governed by Reddit's terms and privacy policy; we do not control it.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BetterJobs, our users, or others, and to enforce our Terms.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not sell it.

5. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties including Google (sign-in), Reddit (where tasks are performed), and Whop, our payments and rewards provider (for cash-outs). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter for as long as necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it. Records of payouts and financial transactions may be retained for the periods required by applicable law.

What survives account deletion

When you delete your account we remove your identity and the content you produced, and we anonymize the financial and task records we must keep for accounting, so the amounts and dates remain but no longer point to you. There is one exception: we keep your Reddit username on that anonymized record for 24 months after deletion, and then delete it automatically. We keep nothing else that identifies you.

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in preventing fraud and abuse of the Service, in particular detecting when an account that was removed or restricted returns under a new registration. We keep the username alone, never your task history alongside it. If you believe this retention should not apply to you, you can object at any time by contacting stefano@commentquest.com, and we will reassess and delete it unless we have overriding grounds to keep it.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States and may process and store information in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from yours. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, contact stefano@commentquest.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

EEA and UK residents

You have the rights described above under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, to delete your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may exercise these rights by contacting stefano@commentquest.com, including through an authorized agent.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
